Protéger vos liens et marque-pages sensibles par des mots de passe
Imaginons que vous ayez un marque-page à cacher à votre femme (ou à votre administrateur réseau), par exemple, comme on dit pour illustrer l’utilisation de la navigation privée, si vous voulez lui faire un cadeau surprise (bah oui, on fait aussi des cadeaux à son administrateur réseau !), Link Password vous permet de chiffrer des liens et de les protéger par mots de passe.
L’extension a plusieurs entrées. Vous pouvez cliquer en fin de barre d’adresse sur un bouton qui apparaît au survol du curseur.
Une boîte de dialogue apparaît pour entrer son mot de passe et le confirmer.
La page disparaît et un message disant que la page est protégée par un mot de passe la remplace avec un lien chiffré dans la barre d’adresse.
Au lieu d’un simple lien, un clic-droit sur un marque-page et sur le nouvel item « Encrypt this link » de son menu contextuel, permet de chiffrer ce marque-page.
Une boîte de dialogue apparaît alors pour entrer son mot de passe (et le confirmer). Une case à cocher est présente pour prévoir de renommer le lien.
Une fois chiffré, le marque-page apparaît dans la bibliothèque (gestionnaire de marque-pages) avec un autre nom.
Si on clique sur le marque-page chiffré, une boîte de dialogue surgit permettant d’entrer le mot de passe.
On peut aussi cliquer-droit sur les marque-pages dans la barre personnelle pour faire apparaître le menu contextuel avec le nouvel item permettant de chiffrer les liens.
On fera apparaître ce même menu depuis le sous-menu marque-pages du menu unique Firefox.
Le menu « Outils » de la barre de menus contient aussi un item « Link Password, Make new Encrypt Link » pour chiffrer la page en cours.
Si on clique-droit sur un dossier de marque-pages, deux autres commandes sont présentes dans le menu contextuel pour chiffrer et décrypter tous les liens présents dans le dossier.
Le menu contextuel contient toujours une seconde commande pour décrypter les liens chiffrés ainsi créés.
Voici une extension pour les Firefox stables encore supportés (3.6.22 et 6.0.2) qui permettra de prévoir des cadeaux pour sa femme ou de préserver tous ses petits secrets à l’abri d’un mot de passe.
