Comme prévu, Lightning 1.0 bêta 2 est sortie de conserve avec Thunderbird 3.1 avec lequel cette version de l’extension d’agenda de Mozilla est uniquement compatible (pour les questions de compatibilité, voir le billet sur la version RC 2).

Lightning 1.0 bêta 2 est la dernière version stable. Elle contient 110 correctifs de bogues et améliorations par rapport à la version 1.0 bêta 1, ce qui améliore la stabilité, les performances et la consommation de mémoire de l’extension. Les notes de diffusion annoncent comme nouveautés :

• You can now print out your tasks
• Improved calendar view navigation, performance improved
• Better error handling when adding or subscribing to calendars
• Allow setting different start and end timezones for events and tasks
• CalDAV support and interoperability with various CalDAV servers have been improved
• Performance improvement and reduced network load when accessing certain CalDAV servers (webdav-sync specification)
• The application stability, performance and memory consumption have been improved
